Ladies - if your car had a flat tire, could you change it yourself?

If not, why can't you change your own tire?

I'm American, in my country, we call them TIRES.

In England, they are called TYRES, but in America that spelling is wrong!

Lambchop - yes I can iron a shirt (I live by myself so if I didn't iron my own shirts, they wouldn't get ironed!)

I actually can. All students in high school are required to take a "behind the wheel" driving course in order to obtain their license, and when I was in high school and had to take one my father managed to find the most difficult driving program in our area. It was twice as long as others, and students were required to show the ability to change a car tire, check all of the fluids, etc. before the school would pass them. Fortunately I passed and can now change a tire as a result, among other things.

I change my own tires, change the oil, replace the antifreeze, have put in a new heater core, put a new alt on last week, and No I'm not a mechanic, being single for over 30 years you learn to do those things for yourself...

Wasnt to happy few weeks ago when I had a tire come apart and had to change it on the side of the road and there was snow and ice and the jack slipped and the car fell on it, but happily I had another jack.... thank goodness, wind was blowing, must have been minus 50 c and no one even touched their brakes to stop lol but I got the job done, said oh golly gee whiz that made me mad lmao...

I'm sure if i had to i could. Can't be that hard men do it lol. Anyways why have a b/f if you can't call him out to do it? I probably wouldn't do it at the moment though being over 20 weeks pregnant might be a tad dangerous but dang it i reckon i still could as long as i could get the nuts off. I'm terribly independent so it would annoy me to get a man to do it. I have gotten my b/f to explain it to me. If it actually happened and i hadn't changed my tyre of yet i would ask a man if he ACTUALLY stopped to help me to guide me through the process. But i would do it on my own. I have a question for you. Can you iron a shirt? lol ; )

No, god forbid I would have a flat tire one day I don't know how to change a flat tire but I've seen my cousin do it a few times but if It does happen I can't do it even then because I have two children and one of them is 12 months old so doing it will be some-what hard......

No...I would have to wait for that handsome guy to stop to help me....Why can't I change my own tire...well I never had to, it would be too hard to lift the tire or take the nuts off..I feel it isn't the woman's job to do that..it is more for a guy to do that sort of thing.

Yes, I can. I am handy and like to do things myself. Sometimes I can't rely on a man....

Been independent for a long time and have taken care of alot of things that men do...besides, I don't mind getting my hands dirty.

No I call Triple A. I tried to unscrew the nuts once but I was not strong enough. I am not breaking my back to change a tire. I'll let someone who knows what they're doing take care of it.

Yes, I could change it myself. I think everyone who drives a car should be able to perform this task.
