My friends car while driving makes a grinding sound, it almost sound like it's comming from under the hood or maybe the front driver side wheel. When it does this it almost feels like it holds the car back and won't let acclerate. I know it's not the spark plugs because you can rev it up while it's in park and it dose'nt miss. Could it be the wheel barron or what do you think?????

Wheel bearing was my first guess but then you said "holds the car back" and got me not knowing.
Generally wheel bearings are more noticable at sharpe turns and speed so try a hard left and right turn at 35MPH and you will know if its the bearing.
