go on bc to regulate it, how old are you? if youre young you dont need to worry, its going to be off for the first 2 years. have you seen an obgyn? see one asap so she can get to the bottom of it and get you on treatment if you need it, that way if there is a problem they can fix it asap

The doctor you need to see in a Gynecologist. They specialize in problems of the female reproductive organs. Periods are regulated by a very delicate balance of hormones released at the proper time in the proper amount. When you first begin getting cycles, it can take up to a year or so for them to happen on a regular basis, after that, they should happen on a regular monthly basis. If you have had your periods for more than a year and this isn't happening, you need to see the Gyn. For starters he/she will do a physical examination and some lab tests. Then he or she may start you on a birth control pill to help regulate the hormonal cycle. Once you have the exam, you can speak with the doctor more about what is going on and why. Likely it is just a matter of getting the body jump started into the cycles. This problem is not all that uncommon with young girls, and is fairly easily corrected. I don't have exact statistics on pregnancy rates for them afterwards, but judging from the numbers of babies out there, I think it's probably not a major problem. But you need to speak with the Gyn doctor about that, after you have had your appointment. I'm sure you will feel much better after you see the doctor.

The only person who can help you is a doctor. They can try and figure out why you only have periods 1 to 3 times a year and then try and solve your problem. If you leave it as is you probably will have a hard time conceiving.

There are numerous reasons for a sparce period, some serious and some not. Low body mass, medical conditions, and being in the early years of your development would be a few. I wouldn't freak out, just go to your doctor and ask.

If you are young it may just be that your body needs to settle in a bit . If this has been going on a long time a doctor may prescribe birth control pills to help regulate your period . Don't borrow trouble and make yourself sick about it ..... just go see a doctor then you'll know for sure .... right? : ) good luck!!!

A doc can give you birth control pills to get your period started regular, also have him check you thyroid, you may have thyroiditis if it comes up high or borderline INSIST that he give you a thyroid antiboby test to see if it is hashimoto's thyroiditis,I was borderline and I really had to beg for the test and when it can back I was right and the doc was wrong, but with proof of the test he can prescribe hormone therapy, also get checked be a gynocologist.

It's possible that you won't be able to have kids, and it is scary. If it's something really serious, you might have to have a hysterectomy. You really just need to see your doctor though. It could just be something that birth control or another medication can take care of.
