Trash coming into the united states is somewhat of an issue here in the US and especially in the northern states, such as the state of Michigan, where most of the Canadian dumpage takes place. My question is "what is your solution to this problem?"

It brings in revenue doesen't it. It's probably how local governments pay their bills. Trash is always a major concern and will continue to play a problem as more landfills fill up. I suggest more green recycling programs but that costs money.

The way you asked your question made it seem like it's an intentional indiscretion when in fact it is part of a bilateral deal. As was mentioned, it does generate revenue for Michigan, and maybe even a few jobs. If your government thought it was a problem they wouldn't have agreed to it. If you think it is a problem work to either change or influence your government.

You act like you are unaware of the American trash being dumped in Canada. It goes both ways, and yes, it has a lot to do with revenue. The best solution is to recycle. Why don't we all do it?

Let's concentrate on our Southern friends first. I do not see Canadians filling up the schools and lowering the learning curve , hospital emergency wards or 25 % of our jails. Focus man.
