ok. so i am thinking about taking a year or two off from school (im 18) and going out to LA and trying to be an actor/model. But i am so scared because I dont know if I can do it. I have wanted to do it forever! But my parents will flip out and everything. But I am gonna do it for me. I got the lead in my first college play.

While you look attractive in your pictures, there is much more to modeling than simply having a handsome face and a nice body. You have to be able to move. You have to be able to connect with the camera when you're being photographed. You need to have a certain, undefinable quality that draws in viewers, and you need to have a strong work ethic, because from what I understand, modeling is a very difficult business. It's much the same with acting, though acting requires a much wider skill set.
Follow your dreams, but also understand what you're getting yourself into. Good luck.

I tried it, and it didn't work out. But, that is just one man's experience. Give it a try for a few years. You will never know until you try.
