person with multiple piercings wants to express themselves. they crave attention, and don't care what others think about them. they may also be confident with themselves.
you also have other people who merely want to shock those around them.
how many to you is multiple?
personally, a person is a person, regardless of what they have going on outwardly.

I'd say it depends where the piercings are..
Sure, 3 rings on the ear.. that's cool
2 rings one on each ear... why not?
1 chain of rings looping from the nose to the ear.. eh, it'll give people a double take.

same as someone with tattoo's or anything trying to be different and stand out... unsure of yourself.... wanting to be "seen or heard" now days if u have all the piercings and tattoos ur not original.. people without piercings or tattoos are the un norm now days...

it usually means that you are
- really badass
- part of a "scene"
- live an alternative lifestyle
- don't fit the norm
i don't know alot of religious/close minded people don't like it but i don't see anything wrong with a few piercings ya know....
