No, I do not think that Muslims are targeted. In fact if you look at today's (23.01.2007) The Hindu, you will find two ladies, one of whom possibly a muslim woman in Bangalore, walking hand in hand with the other, probably a non-muslim.
We should not submit ourself to bloody politics while assessing the situanation. We always believed in non-intereference. That is why we are what we are now. I believe in the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda that we are brothers and sisters, apart from Indian.

Scarlett above speaks like she has been in Bangalore and watched live events as they took place, she even rules out that the trouble makers are Muslims. If that 12 year old was her brother, what would she say??? Get your facts honey before you pass judgement on an entire community.....May Allah guide you...
As for the questioner: Muslims are ALWAYS targeted in India, just read about the Surya Namaskar being imposed on Muslim students in M.P state.

no, i don't think so. at least as far as i know. our prez is a muslim. we all live together and sing the same national anthem. mosques and temples exist side-by-side (e.g. Hyderabad). one of my best friends in a muslim (i am a Hindu)
i don't think 1 or 2 incidents should change India into a theocratic state
