You're probably all right. I live in Minnesota and slipped and fell on ice when I was about six months pregnant. I called the nurse advice line and they told me the baby has so much padding and protection in there, it's actually pretty hard to hurt them. I'd be extra attentive over the next couple days and make sure you don't feel any big changes in movement. You also might want to call the nurse line to any doctor's office or hospital and ask for some guidance. Good luck!

In a situation like that you should always go to your doctor or the hospital. Just because there is no cramping or bleeding now does not mean there might not be an underlying problem developing. At least if it is caught early they will be able to do something for you and the baby.
Of course, there may not be anything wrong at all. At that age the baby still has plenty of amniotic fluid around him/her to soften blows like that. Still, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

First off, better safe than sorry. i'd call your Doc and let him know what happened and see what he thinks. That said, it's more than likely ok. That baby is very well cushioned in there and it's actually harder than it seems to hurt it. I belly flopped onto an inner tube when I was 7 months pregnant (stupid me, brain fart, momentarily forget the other person in my body...ugh!) it hurt like heck, knocked the wind outta me and I was sore for about a day afterwards. I DID call my ob who told asked if there was any bleeding, cramping, or contractions, and he asked if the baby was still moving around. That's key. If baby is still moving around it's a good indicator it's ok, but definitely call and ask. I felt like a nincompoop explaining what I had done, but it was worth it to make sure my baby was ok.

I fell at 39 weeks with my first child. I was not cramping or spotting but my water started leaking. I fell straight on my bottom. Anytime you fall you should call your doctor and let them know. They can ask you questions on the phone and determine if you should go be checked or if it can wait until their office is open again to check you.

Yes. Better safe then sorry. 4-6 months is usually an OK stage but be safe and relieve your fears. Go to the hospital.

YES! Just because you don't feel anything doesn't mean the baby isn't hurt. Go to the doc and they will attach a monitor to you and make sure the baby is o.k. It won't hurt you at all and will only take about 20 minutes or so. Please, for the sake of your baby, go!

probably. its better in the long run to make sure everything is ok. not to worry you, but there oculd be problems that might not crop up until later. also, it will ease your mind- there is nothing worse than worry sometimes. I would call the OB's office, have them give you a call, and ask for their advice.

Woman's bodies were built to protect the baby. That is why there is aminoitic fluid and extra fat on mom's body. Your body will protect the baby before it protects you.
Call your doctor if you are worried. Otherwise you should be fine if there is no cramping or bleeding.
