money, fame, popularity, living the rich life, and its just pretty much an easy job... you dress up, try to look cute/handsome, and read off the cards. People are willing to lie in return for everything I mentioned above. The things people will do for money...

Well thats not easy to answer because I'm sure its different for everyone. But some people have no issues with lieing.

People in all well-paying jobs are required to lie - it certainly isn't just newscasters

For the same reason that some lawyers will defend a murder or a child molester. For money, most people will do anything for money.

Nobody will ask you to lie. If there's a story that you know is inaccurate, you re-write it, like any other reporter--after all, your name is on it.

When you understand the nature of news writing, you'll understand how this all works.
