If you are from the U.S you don't need one to drive back and forth to Tijuana. On the other hand if you fly to into the U.S from anywhere in the world you will need your passport to enter the U.S. You will need a passport as of 2008 to drive back and forth but currently a Drivers liscense will do. Be sure to get your tourist visa when entering Tijuana, it's good to let the government know you were there if something happens. Tijuana is a dangerous place and anything could happen. Be CAREFULL

After tomorrow to fly back into the US you need a passport. That rule will be in place for land and sea arrivals in 2008. Until then for land and sea arrivals a driver's license will do. Travel safe.
