Absolutely. If I had my way, I'd have school nurses give mandatory Norplant inserts and free condoms out with their MMRs every year in high school.

I had to suffer years of agonizing cramps with every menstruation in high school because my folks thought it would be a sin to put me on the Pill. When I went off to college, I got myself on the Pill at the student health clinic - and away went the bad cramps, heavy bleeding, anemia, and stress headaches immediately.

Seriously - in Sweden and the Netherlands, sex ed starts early, and contraceptives are freely available. Their teen pregnancy rate is almost nil.

I say we shouldn't just allow teenagers access to contraception - we should encourage it.

bring them where?

I think that teenagers should be allowed to buy use and carry contraceptives. I am a teenager who is sexually active, and I can honestly say that even if i didn't use any form of contraceptive I would still be having sex, so yes yes yes they should.

If it goes against their religious beliefs (the teens, not necessarily the parents) then that may be a deciding factor for personal use, but they should always be available.

Bring them...where?

I believe that any sexually active person, no regard to age, should have access to birth control. It's easier to pay $55 a month that $10000 (exageration) a month for a baby.

My daughter is 12 and I don't condone her being sexually active but I'd rather keep her safe. Besides, no matter how strongly you teach a kid not to have sex they're probably gonna sneak around and do it anyway. It's better to be safe and nothing happen than for them to have to deal with parenthood before they're out of high school.

Yes!!! People want to complain about kids getting pregnant too young but when the kids try to protect themselves than some people want to start quoting bible verses and saying that it is wrong! It sounds hypocritical...don't ya think?!

a teen without contraceptives will become a teen mom, so yes is my opinion. but, abstinence is always the best.

yes, if you stop and think about it, everyone is teaching abstince (spelling) and I can count at least 30 teenagers that I know that are sexually active and on the pill. It's better to let them have them instead.

Yes, I believe its better to be safe then sorry.
We were all young once......I know I waited however I know some friends that wished they had or were able to bring or buy. It could have made a big difference in their lives.

Should they be forced to go without so that the number of young people with STD's, and unwanted pregnancies goes up? It definitely is the lesser of two evils.
