..move into a new house? I have a baby here now and my old place is kinda, well, shabby and dirty. I clean it very often but the building is from the 50's or so. Nothing's been replaced or remodelled except for the carpet. This one costs me $850, a nicer home would be 1150. My monthly income is $3000.
What do you think?

Well, you should go with your gut feeling first. Second, the baby IS a baby, and you have this thought about a new place planted already. So it's bound to happen anyway. Why not make it now and have the kid know the new house as his/her first house growing up. New start all around. And so you up-scale! You'll still have enough money it seems to do OK, and you'll feel a whole lot better.
