Will everyone think it is a boy if some of the bigger items are blue?

I wouldn't worry about what everyone else thinks. Last time I looked I was unable to find any of those items in colors that weren't blue brown or yellow. I would definatley say that the color of the accessories doesn't matter in the least. My daughter was confused for a boy because I dressed her in demin....like jean is only a boy thing. People are going to make their assumptions but in the end if they are wrong they are the @$$ and not you just because your baby doesn't follow the stereotypes of boys=blue girls=pink. There is a whole rainbow out there to enjoy, people who don't recognize this are stupid.

Girls can get away with wearing blue verses boys wearing pink. Just dress your baby in girly things and they will know that it is a girl. And, most people do not pay attention to the color of the car seat, stroller and baby carrier!

I must admit, blue is my favorite color! I bought a blue stroller several years ago on sale and then had a girl-- I do have mostly pink and purple blankets, clothes, and accessories, though.

I'd say you're much more likely to have folks assume it's a girl if you have pink items than to have them assume a boy because of blue.

I imagine that many babies get stuff that was bought for an older sibling, and might be the opposite sex's "official color."

Then you'll have a beautiful baby girl in blue. Funny little aside, EVERYONE (strangers, that is) thought I was boy no matter what my parents did. I was bald until I was about two. My mom even glued bows to my head and only dressed me in dresses and everyone still thought I was boy. Just laugh and say "Oh, no, it's a girl. I just love the color blue!" Good luck!

I wouldn't even worry about it, I've got a 7 month old daughter and she's got a blue stroller, seat, etc-and even a blue blanket and no one thinks any different. You still will get people thinking she's a boy even if she's wearing pink.

yeah, I had a boy 3 years ago and had a girl 6 months ago....point is even though sometimes, though not often, I have used my son's handmedown's with her, ppl still have called her a "he"...it's just the way it is,,,,hard for ppl to tell while they're small...and once she's big enough, well hopefully it's obvious cuz you won't be dressing her in all blue.......about the color of your stuff, who cares? It's your baby and she's not going to remember when some stranger came up in the store and said "oh , what a cute little boy..." don't worry about it!

When they are newborns everyone has to ask the sex. It doesn't matter. Unless it really bothers you. But if it did, you would have thought about that before buying all blue stuff.

I bought a blue pram for my son and am now having a girl. I will put pink accessories on the pram. And no doubt she will be in a lot of girlie pink clothes.

Other people may think its a boy just because of the blue, but people make that mistake even if you have a great big sign that reads "GIRL." You're contact with most people who do not already know what sex your baby is generally lasts less than 3 seconds, so who cares if they get it wrong?

Our youngest daughter had a blue car seat. Don't worry about it. Just dress her up in pastels lol. Doesn't really matter, our first daughter had a purple and pink car seat and I always put her obvious girl outfits even put little bows in her hair and I still got "Oh what a cute little boy" If it bothers you that bad, keep your reciepts and exchange it if it is a girl.
