Okay so here it goes.....I had sex on the day of my ovulation but we were using the "pull and pray" method. By the way just a little background information I'm 19. So, I was 4 days late on my period and a little stressed, but once I realized I was on it I stopped worrying. Recently, I have been feeling very pregnant. EXTREME nausea and headaches, excess saliva, sore boobs, crazy mood swings, tiredness.....Well, when I thought I was in the clear with my period my sister let me take some accutane, only 1 (I have been perscribed that a few years ago). Now I am extremely worried that if I am pregnant, my baby could suffer serious birth defects. I'm so scared.
If I were pregnant I would be 7 and a half weeks....

You are right, Accutane will cause serious birth defects, see your health provider immediately if you suspect you are pregnant.

Well, you should go ahead and take a pregnancy test, just to ease your mind about your pregnancy status. Then, if you are pregnant, make an appointment to see your doctor and discuss your concerns. They can certainly monitor you for any complications or birth problems. Do not start worrying ahead of time, especially not knowing if you are pregnant.
And as always, you should never take someone elses prescriptions- even if you think it may be relatively safe. Because the doses are tailored to that person, you could get an overdose of medication, have an allergic reaction, or even cause a conflict with medications you are already taking. Also, if there is a chance you can become pregnant, you should be aware of any medications you take and their potential effects. Some doctors will make sure to prescribe safer medications when they know a woman is of child bearing age and may become pregnant.
Try to relax, get yourself a pregnancy test, and take each worry at one time. Good luck.

Lots of women have their period while pregnant, some have it for months before it stops due to pregnancy some spot and some have one period.
Stop taking anything it sounds like you could be, at 19 I had thought you'd realize the dangers of unprotected sex buying a packet of condoms does not cost much so stop taking anything that may damage the baby (if there is one) go and buy 3 pregnancy tests (one is never accurate)

Absolutely... accutane is lethal for an unborn child, and if not lethal can cause serious birth defects. Get a blood test done ASAP to find out if your pregnant or not.

I've always heard that within the first couple months of pregnancy, alcohol and drugs do not often have lasting effects due to the extremely underdeveloped nature of the fetus. So, your probably in the clear as far as that goes.

take a test take a test take a test. Any home pregnancy test on the market can tell by now whether you are or aren't. If it comes out positive, still don't freak out. See your Dr. and have him do an ultrasound, and he will probably keep doing frequent ultrasounds to make sure everything is developing correctly.

I wouldn't be worrying just yet. Go take a test, and if it comes up positive, talk with your doctor about what you should and shouldn't do!
