She needs to discuss her options with her mom, since she already knows that she is pregnant. I would also tell her to talk to a school guidance counselor. They have dealt with this before and will have all the information that she may need. She needs to get to a doctor or clinic and get started on prenatal care. She will have special needs because she is so young. The doctor will be able to tell her if she can take PE or not. She also needs to stay in school. It is great that you are her friend and not judging her. Be there for her. She will need her friends support. Whatever she eventually decides to do. The school system will not expell her for being pregnant, although they may "suggest" that she goes to an alternate school for awhile for pregnant teens. It just depends on where you live. Kudo's to you for being a wonderful concerned friend:)

Depends on the schools, some you can negotiate to stay until you are no longer fit to be doing school work but they need to be notified. Schools are not made to cover the health and safety act for pregnant mothers it is not even a area for mothers to be in, they could get sued if she is pregnant and has an accident there. Have her mother talk to the school about how long she can stay for she will eventually have to stop going to school as it will become dangerous for her to be walking around carrying books and bags too much strain on her body.
Tell her if she is going to take this baby serious by not having an abortion then its interests come first which means giving up schooling along with PE.
If she does PE she could damage the baby as you said and the strain could lead her to miscarriage. She is not being a responsible mother her body has not even developed enough to support a child so it is dangerous she is pregnant at this age anyway.
In ancient Egyptian times it was common for women to get pregnant at about 14 and due to the fact that their bodies could not handle with the stress of child birth a lot of the mothers would die in labor or miscarriage.
She needs to take this seriously talk to a doctor and stop PE and tell her teachers, she can always go back to school once she has had the baby.

Your friend needs to let everyone at school know that she is pregnant. She shouldn't have to attend PE b/c that could hurt the baby. The school can not expell her for being pregnant. They could only expell her if she did something horrible in school, like bringing a weapon, or something that is way worse. I would tell her that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of her. She is keeping the baby, and she has to accept the responsibility. Her mom will hopefully come around...I'll keep her in my prayers!

I think you should tell to the PE teacher if u really a real friend. We are now on 2007 and this generation is really different. The PE teacher will unerstand her situation. Because Pe can harm the baby and your friend too.

they cant expel her, that would be prejudice and if they do she should sue the school. I think she should let her pe teachers know and maybe the principal but ask them to not spread it around i dont think that would be something she would want to happen.
this is going to be tough for her, and you seem like you are good friends with her, make sure to take care of her and help as much as you can she'll need your support

She should talk to her parents NOW. PE will not harm the baby, but she is not getting prenatal care and that really could hurt the baby. If she won't, you need to tell them.

It is illegal for the school to expell her for pregnancy. If she is still doign PE she needs to stop asap before she has a miscarriage and totally harms her body or worse dies. However, maybe that is what she wants. If so she needs mental help as well.

Well it is good she is not getting a abortion, the school can not expell or disipline her what so ever. You need to talk w/ her about putting the baby up for adoption she can not give the baby a good chance at a great life.

IF a public school expelled her for being pregnant she could sue like crazy. hmm, without being mean I am going to suggest you find better friends, any girl who is that careless with her life and someone elses has real issues. And that 19 year old WILL go to jail if proven he is the father.

I was seeing a neighborhood girl of 12, and began having sex. I was 14, and saw each other nearly six months, until her folks moved. I got wind of her having become pregnant, and reunited with her. I was fascinated by the way her body went from slim to pear-shaped. Sex was even better now, and I was allowed overnight stays.
It turned out that I wasn't the father, courtesy of a DNA test, and ended up parting again. Her daughter is now 18.
