The americans have two countries: 1 where they live, 2 where they think they live.

The americans have two ways to be: 1 what they are, 2 What they think they are.

are there rich models in Australia and Britain? sometimes being rich is real.

but I just saw the movie "click" and the characters didn't live in a huge house nor did they drive an expensive car. the wife also was not a super model. the other movie i saw recently, "running with scissors" also did not have those things in it.

Which American movies did u see? Maybe the houses in America are different than the houses in those other countries? They seem huge to you but are normal to the rest of us?

Sounds like you haven't seen a very broad range of American movies, many of them do not portray the stereotype you are describing.

Several current or recent examples in a variety of genres: Freedom Writers, Alpha Dog, Brokeback Mountain, Friday Night Lights.

They are in the business of fantasy.

Reality is all around us to see. When we need a break we want to be transported into another world different from our reality hence we go to the moviesI would not pay good money to see overweight people leading dreary lives very similar to my own. We want to live for those 90 mts a dream life hence the huge houses and perfectly sculpted bodies.

Maybe it isn't that most american movies portray that, but rather that most the american movies that are shown where you live show that. Not all american movies are opened internationally. You are only seeing the big budget ones, the ones that they think will appeal to an international audience.

relies upon what you're petrified of. oftentimes, American horror video clips are greater human vs. human. The characters many times circulate against some physco. In Asian video clips, it particularly is a few possesed newborn. For me, Asian video clips are too frightening. American video clips are not as frightening. So, i think of AMerican ones are scarier.

Expand your movie selections. Not all American movies portray everyone as rich and beautiful.

There is so much negative in real life why not have a ideal life on tv or the movies.

Because they are out of touch with their audiences, also I guess it gives us something to strive for, I have to say I prefer movies that are like real life, the knitty gritty because you can relate to those better..good question:)
