Lorea'l has these patches that correct self tanning mistakes. Go to walmart in the seasonal section. Also scrub, scrub, scrub in the shower.

Most tanners are going to fade in a patchy manner no matter what you do. You can reduce this however by exfoliating and moisturizing the skin well before applying the sunless tanner, and keeping the skin well moisturized in the days afterwards. As I said, all tanners fade in a patchy manner no matter what you do. The best thing I can tell you to do is after 4-5 days or when the tanner starts to look really patchy, soak in a bath infused with baking soda and exfoliate to remove all remnants of the tanner before applying it anew. Applying a layer of tanner over skin that is already patchy with fading tanner just means that the resulting tan is going to be patchy as well. Hope that helps!

Be sure to exfoliate before you get a spray on tan, so there isn't any excess skin. I use a brown sugar scrub, all it is is a 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1 tbsp of milk..makes your skin so soft, too.

Make sure to exfoliate before you apply the self tanner.

moisturise everyday and do not use soap when having a shower. use soap free body wash and try not to have showers that are too hot. that should let the tan fade away evenly.
also prior to tanning make sure you buff your skin (exfoliate), concentrating on you knees and heels and elbows.

Always exfoliate your skin before, and give your skin a rest some days and just use normal moistoriser.
