My mom always tells me not to have my hot laptop on my lap, around my privates. She says the heat and radiant energy could ruin sperm production or dick growth. Is this possible?

You're more likely to damage your laptop than yourself. They're designed to be kept on hard surfaces. keeping it on your lap (or on a bed, blanket, whatever) restricts the air flow. Most models have fans that draw air from the bottom to help keep from overheating.

The heat will make your testes too hot and can damage your sperm making them unable to impregnate a woman. The sterility is only temporary and this should not be used as a method of birth control.

It does ruin sperm production but not to the point where you won't be able to have any children. Believe me, I tend to put my laptop on my lap and I have a kid. You still have plenty- I mean plenty of sperm to make kids. And it doesn't make your penis smaller. Mine is still big and hasn't shrunk at all.

You got about 10 bazillion sperm in you and will be produced in you over the next 80 years. Surely enough will survive to fertilize the egg that will one day become your child(ren). Penile growth unfortunately is in the hands of your forebearers. Genetics.

NAH... we use to think the microwave ovens would harm sperm also and my brother already has 3 kids and he always was hanging around the microwave with his privates hangout an obviously it didn't harm him even though my dad told him it would.
SEE, we really know very little but we like to tell horror stories anyway :)

They do get pretty darn hot. Your mom may be right about the sperm thing, I don't know about the growth thing tho.
