I sound like I am singing through my nose and I hate it.....How can I fix that?

You have to sing from your diaphragm. Trust me, i know what I'm talking about. I work with R&B singers as a vocal coach.
You have to bring your air from down in your stomach. It takes practice & it is an adjustment,but it helps a great deal.

Use your stomach as the "pump" by which you bring in and let out your air. For a long time people have been taught to breathe by using their chest, but your chest cavity is rigid. Your stomach is very flexible and can gather in much more air, and allow you to carry a note MUCH longer, MUCH easier. My choir director taught us that about 15 years ago, and it's true. use ur diaphram...ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAys...it is bad ro use ur chest!!!trust me i have had many years of training!!!
