Many people are interested in finding out tips relating to hair care techniques. Some want to know which styles are the most popular ones to choose whereas others wish to find out how to get their hair to cooperate in one way or another. One frequently asked question regarding hair is how to keep the hair strands soft on a daily basis. There are a few tips which will help interested individuals in achieving beautiful, soft hair.
Use a Conditioner
One way to keep strands soft is to use a conditioner each and every day. The conditioner provides moisture for the hair which is the number one ingredient for achieving soft hair. It is important to use a liberal amount of conditioner based on the length of one’s hair yet not use too much. A gentle conditioning each day will equate with soft, luxurious strands of hair.
Use Combs From Time to Time
Another tip for keeping hair soft and manageable is to use a comb every once in a while instead of a brush. Combs make it much easier to work out knots from the hair and by using a comb to do so the individual is less likely to break hair strands which would work against achieving soft hair. Combs are a necessary hair tool to have in one’s hair product drawer.
Don’t Overuse Hair Dryers
Using a hair dryer too often and at extreme heats will dry out your hair. When an individual has dry hair, it is more likely to be course than soft in nature. It is fine to use a hair dryer each day but just remember to use a low setting and hold the dryer a good distance away from the hair. Doing so will prevent the hair from becoming dry and frizzy.
Don’t Comb or Brush Hair Too Much
Another tip for keeping one’s hair soft is to be cautious with regard to the overuse of a comb or brush. It is important to use a brush or comb to straighten one’s hair but it should not be taken to extremes. Brushing or combing hair on a frequent basis can damage hair by breaking the strands and promoting frizzy hair, not soft hair. By keeping the amount of combing or brushing in check, the individual will be taking a step in the right direction when it comes to acquiring soft hair.
Soft hair is a goal which many individuals can achieve. By keeping the previously mentioned tips in mind, one can be well on their way to having beautiful, soft strands of hair.

Jojoba oil makes your hair soft. You can find the jojoba oil in health food stores. If you have short hair, you'll probably only need a drop or two or three. Put it on your palm. Then coat your hair with your palm. You don't want to completly saturate your hair with the oil to the point it is dripping oil. That would make it hard to wash out. Let your hair absorb the oil for 30 minutes. Then shampoo the oil out so your hair won't look greasy. If you add too much oil, your hair will be greasy and you will have to shampoo it again. If your hair gets too greasy, shampoo, and don't put in conditioner. You may want to try this when you are not expected to show up in public for a day just in case you have to spend some time shampooing out excess oil. jojoba oil is a great unscented moisturizer for your hands too. Don't blowdry your hair if possible. Blowdrying damages and dries out your hair. Don't comb your hair when it is wet. When it is wet, it sticks together and tangles, and the extra pulling you have to do to it damages the hair. Comb when it is dry.

Comb or brush conditioner into it in the shower.
Leave it in a while longer.
I have long hair and always get complements from girls.
don't get conditioner into the roots as this may clog pours essential for natural hair oil which is argueably the best thing for healthy hair.
Don't wash it too frequently. Or don't shapoo it every day.
Most people ruin their hair with to much work...
For example blowdryers and (some) hairspray are murder on the hair. I haven't even seen gel used like it's used to for that same reason...
and yes, I'm gay.

You can use argan oil after a shower while your hair is still damp. If you get a good brand then it won't be oily or weigh your hair down. I use the Pro Natural’s brand of moroccan argan oil because salons use it a lot. It makes hair soft and shiny.

Yeah, as people said, get some shampoo (any shampoo you like) and maybe some conditioner. Be sure to try washing it in the morning, and wash it more frequently.

if you blow dry your hair you should blow dry from scalp to ends, that closes the hair cuticle making the hair softer. but if you have short hair and you dont blow dry your hair i would say to use a good conditioner, the more natural ingredients that are in a product the better

Pantene conditioner is really good for softening your hair. Shampoo's can be harmful to your hair so you don't want to shampoo everyday but you can condition everyday.

Use some creme rinse after you shampoo. You need to rinse it thoroughly though because if you don't get most of it out, it will make your hair flat.
