Just a curious Canadian. Do the new security measures annoy you? Personally if I can't bring anything on an airplane or if I have to get a passport to enter the US, it does not bother me, I think we should have done that a long time ago. If you got nothing to hide, it shouldn't bother you and heck it makes me feel safer so I am all for it.

LOL Timmy, yes I am from Quebec but I am an English Quebecer so I know what you mean, (thats a debate for another day) Like I said I have no issues with it except that I think it should be a two way street as well. If we have to show passports then so should you besides it would be so much faster to pass in and out of the border, hassle free.

God Bless you Neighbor. You must not be from Quebec. Having said that, you are exactly right, if you have nothing to hide. After serving two hitches in two different branches of the Military I feel that way about the Patriot Act. If you have nothing to hide !!
God bless the RCAF during WW2 .I was around then also.

I formally drove a truck to Canada all of the time. I didn't need a passport. To me it is an imposition and a way to get money off of otherwise lawful citizens, it is punishing everyone for the sake of a few. I don't fly so I cannot answer that as well but I think security has to be tighter on an air plane because of the amount of people on board.

As far as I am concerned we are cousins ; but in to days world we must be cautious. My daughter lives in Seattle and goes to Vancouver a great deal on her husbands business and to shop.
She is glad to know that the Canadian border control is doing there job. She finds our side lax. There has been much tension between our Countries the last few years. I am sorry. WE have an ******* in the White House. I have lived under quite a few and some I thought weren:t so Hot. This is the only one I am convinced is nuts. My apology to the World. We will do better soon. I am fighting for IMPEACHMENT Now. We do not like him. He scares us. Canadians should send there opinions on the net. We would like to hear. e are both on the same Continent.PEACE

I agree. Measures should have been in place years ago. No they do not bother me if it means making everyone safer from the crazies then so be it. But, terrorists will always come up with other ways to take innocent lives. We have an obligation to do what we can do to protect ourselves though.

I applaude it! Yeah, I may be a tad inconvenienced, but I am glad to do it. We have been way too lax in this country for far too long! Let's inconvenience the people from foreign countries who want to enter our country to perform acts of terrorism!! Maybe if we give them a few extra hoops to jump through someone will realize their game and stop them.

haha no, they don't. What does annoy me though, is how the new passports they're giving out could be used as a means of war. But the new measures themselves don't bother me at all, I think it's a smart idea haha if you're confused by what I said about war, I posted a question about it, if you care to look at it haha

No, but it does take about 3 hours longer to board a plane this way.

It doesn't bother me all that much. I only want to bring a book on a plane with me, anyway.
