Help what? You are rid of a guy who has no balls or spine. Unless of course you are like his mother and want to control him too. Is this a battle between you and his mother to see who will control him? If not why would you want such a spineless wimp around.

my husband had a hard time cutting the apron strings (not as bad as yours though). We had problems when we were pregnant with our second child (it was a planned pregnancy). His mom told him to choose her over me. She also said some other crappy things.
We stayed together and broke our relationship with her. She thinks we are evil. We tried to resume communications a year later but my husband (OF ALL PEOPLE) decided to stop communicating again. Finally, after a year of not being around her poison he saw that life can be better!
If you want to try and work things out, I suggest reading Toxic In-Laws by Susan Forwar, Ph.D. (http://www.amazon.com/Toxic-Laws-Strategies-Protecting-Marriage/dp/0060507853/sr=8-1/qid=1169530633/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-1955285-5464933?ie=UTF8&s=books).
But first and foremost you need therapy!!!
It isn't completely hopeless ... but it will only work if he leaves his mother. And if he doesn't, do not (and I repeat do NOT) take any of her insults personally! No woman he is with will ever be good enough for mommy.

Start learning to live your life alone. Do you really want a "boy" like that? He is not a man, but a jackass! When he sees that you ae living your life very well without him, he will straighten up. I am not saying go out and cheat but move on with your life, when he does come back around give him the cold shoulder and don't let him move back in, make it difficult for him. Show him who is missing who. His mama can't give him everything. But didn't you see this before you married him?

Sounds like you are much better off without him. If you've been married for 3 years and he's still a mommy's boy, you won't change him. Let go. Go on with your life.

sorry to say but it really sound like he made his decision, he
choose his mother over you.. it may be better off this way, if
he cant be a man at 45 then he will never be one . so you
need to cut your losses and move on. he not worth this
let him stay at him mommy.

If you guys break up alot and she takes him in everytime that may be getting old then I could kinda see her point. But if this is the first time then she is being silly and should support you guys getting back together.I so can't handle mama's boys.

He's a bit old to still be clinging to his mommy's bosom. I say dump the clown and find someone worthwhile that doesn't give you problems.

then divorce him
why would you want to be married to a BOY
you wanted a MAN right?
surely you have some sort of self respect for yourself
so there is no compelling reason to stay
are you THAT desperate for a mate?
