What really is verbal abuse. Being told to shut-up, or you are a stupid *****? Yelling in front of the kids, is that verbal abuse to them or me or both? Who writes the rules on what does and what does not count when referring to verbal abuse. And what can be done to make it stop.

any abuse is certainly wrong and i think its time u began to start being appreciated. remember the greatest gift given to man by GOD was a woman and any abuse to such a wonderful gift is regarded as ungrateful. such a gift should be treasured and looked aftered, dont abuse it just love it and watch the results. every women is beautiful no matter height, weight and anything else because GOD only creates the best so men should enjoy a woman in every way, because without a woman what is a man.
so i suggest that u can change your life, if u want 2 and nobody can stop u cause your life is in your hands and women that say but i love him and he supports me, well wake up and take a wiff at life because if u dont change your life then pehaps u enjoy the situation u r in. just remember live life as if today is your last and enjoy everyday, every hour etc. to its fullest, becuase u have the power, get out of your comfort zone and enjoy today as GOD never promised tomorrow to anyone.

Yes all of what u mentioned is verbal abuse to both u and your children.I don't know who exactly writes the rules on these things but I would hope u follow your heart and how it makes u feel when people verbally abuse you.Anything that is said to deliberately disrespect u would be verbal abuse. And as a human being I would think that it hurts you to hear someone who "loves" you say those things to you.The only way that you can stop it is taking action and not let them continue speaking to you or your children in that way and if they continue to do it, than leave. You should not put you and especially not put your children through that. There are shelters or counseling services available for women of abuse, no matter how minor u might think it is.Take care of yourself and your children.

verbal abuse is really abuse. It's another way of letting you know that the love is fading away. You may still have love for that person but you are ready to move on to something different or better. When verbal abuse comes about someone is tired of something. I am a victim and a suspect of verbal abuse.

verbal abuse is absolutely anything that comes out of someone's mouth that is not edifying or uplifting...except for negatives in the speakers personal life regarding his/her personal self...

no human being has the right to put down anyone with the words they say, no matter if they're yelling at the top of their lungs or whispering it in your ear....if it's negative, it's verbal abuse....and it is designed to mentally break you down bit by bit....don't stand for it, I suppose you have been subjected to such, and especially for the innocent children's sake, get out now while it's at this stage, cuz most men who verbally abuse you will eventually go for bigger ammo the longer you stay with them, because if you stay now, you're only teaching them that this behavior is acceptable, and once you've become "immune" to it, the beating will start....

Abuse is a general term for the use or treatment of something (person, thing, idea, etc.) that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person or thing, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) or is unlawful or wrongful.

If they call you names. That's where CPS has drawn the line. They can scream shut up!, and get your *** over here! all day long, but it's not abuse unless it's a personal attack.
