Totally and completely normal!!!
Inside your uterus, a lining of blood builds up on the uterine wall. When your body realizes that you do not need this protective lining to support a pregnancy, the uterus sheds this lining. The thick gooey stuff you see is just part of the unneeded and unused tissue and blood that builds up. Yes, it does seem really gross...but it is necessary for pregnancy later in life. No, this is not serious, don't sweat it honey! Try to make a personal diary of each of your period..and you will see that for at least the first year..they will seem to change from one time to the next.
I hope this helps!

Some women let out clot chunks as big as plumbs. It's not serious, the clumps are semi-dried blood and dead skin cells from the uterus wall that are being cleaned out. I freaked out over this, considering I started my period when I was nine years old, it was probably to be expected. (me freaking out that is) But in all reality it's just part of the menstrual cycle, all women have clumps every now and then, just some are bigger than others.

The blood clots are not abnormal.
Often they can be a sign that you loose a little more blood than the average woman.
As long as you are not suffering from anemia then that should not in itself be a reason to worry.
When enough blood comes together outside of your veins, it clots, which is perfectly normal.
*You know your body...if you ever think something is really wrong, go see your doctor to just be safe.

Well, they're kind of right, it's perfectly normal, but what you are shedding is menstral tissue that builds up monthly. It's full of nutrients that would feed a fetus if you were pregnant, but because you are not that tissue must be released from the body.

Yes it's normal to clot.........the whole point of your menstral cycle is to tear a way the lining in your uterus monthly, so there will natrually be some clots.

I was told by my Dr that this is normal but if it is excessive or out of control -each woman should know this for her self-medical attention should be sought as it can be a sign of a miscarriage or other ailments.
Please see your doctor to make sure you are dealing with the normal ups and downs of a healthy menstrual cycle.
I hope this helps.
