If you started at a certain location in the southern hemisphere and traveled 100 miles north, 100 miles east and 100 miles south, and ended up where you started, where would you be? Also, if you were in the northern hemisphere and you started 100 miles south of a certain parallel of latitude that had a circumference of 100 miles, and followed the same instructions, where would you be?

For the first, you'd be in the South Pole.

For the second, you'd simply be precisely where you started (you can't tell a specific point) but it wouldn't be the North Pole.
