Definitely the country/small town group is friendlier to WASPs (white anglo-saxon protestant).
Minorities do better in metropolitan areas.
WHY--because birds of a feather flock together.

Small metropolitian have nicest people around. Chico, Ca is a ideal small metropolitian along with Eureka, Ca, Rogue River, Or, and other similar city.

Small metropolitian have many cultures in one city, but people are more "small towns" mentally.

I prefer to live in a small town. But, I have found very kind and good people in small towns and in citys. I have also found some real idiots in both settings, too. In broad and general terms, small town cultures can tend to be mistrusting of those who are "different" and metropolitan cultures can be more accepting. There are good, kind people in both settings. And, never mind the crime in big citys, some pretty notorius things have happened in small towns.
