Any information on recording music?

I'm looking to record some music with a band of mine, and I don't know how I would go about doing that at all. I'd like to be able to put it on my computer if possible. I really just need to know the basics.

if u do it just for fun download songs from internet which u wanna sing. then edit song with dj programs delete vocals sing on it and record.. But if u want someting orginal U need home studio if u dont wanna build studio to your home then u should go to studio and they will record for u.. if u wondering about details e-mail me
