I just watch the weather channel instead. All weather, all the time, except for ads for cold medicine LOL.
I hate the news. It's always bad news and always the same old thing over and over.

To get information: yes.
But not because I like the sickeningly liberal outlook 99% of news programs these days are taking. I get sick of it, personally.
Try watching Glenn Beck on CNN Headline News. (DirecTV channel 204) He's extremely objective... I like him. Doesn't choose sides... tells it how it is.
