ok, if you have a graphing calculator, simply press y= in the upper left and type in the equation "-5x + 50" in the equation for y1.
if you don't, you can create a table.

now, to find the y values, plug in x into the equation and you get the y. for example, when x = 0 you have -5(0) + 50 = y
-5(0) = 0 and + 50 means you add 50. so you have 0 +50 =y so y=50 when x=0. now you have a point on the graph, (0,50)
do this for all of the x values and fill in your table.

as you can see, the value of y is changing by (-5) for every increase in x of 1, which is your slope. (-5x) so, to make the graph more negative in steepness, you would want to decrease the slope, (-5), to a negative number that is steeper (-6, -7, -10, -20 or any other number that is LESS than -5 or simply MORE negative. -4 would not work because it is less steep since you are decreasing y by 4 for every increase of x by 1) Now, plot these points and connect them using a ruler.
*Slope can be read as change in y/ change in x. so, in this case, slope is -5/1. this tells us that y will DECREASE by 5, for every INCREASE in x by 1. the function will be DECREASING and that the graph will look something like this.

You are given that y = -5x + 50
plug in x=0 to get y = -5 * 0 +50 = 50
x=1 to get -5*1 +50 = -5 + 50 =45
x=2 to get -5 *2 + 50 = -10+ 50 = 40
.....and continue until x = 10
then you have the points (0,50), (1,45), (2,40), and so on
To make it steeper just use any number smaller than -5 and plug it in front of the x instead of the -5 such as -6 or -7 or -8......

This is a line so you need two points to graph it.
It is easy, just pick two values for x and solve y for both values.
(x,y) (x,y) A line
chose a value for x, 0 is a good number. If you want something small 10. It is easy to graph.
(10,y) solve for y = -5(10) + 50 = 0
First point (10,0)
Chose another x point, any will do. 5
y=-5(5) + 50 = 25
Second point is (5,25)

Mystery person - get cancel when it goes over the = ! anyways it damn easy
listen just puch 50 on the other side and make it -50 then negative on the both sides get cancelled and the 5 goes under 50 whihc makes 50/5 which is 10 and therefore x=10
