Does it hurt? and how long do you have to keep the ring in for before you can change it?

I just got my lip pierced on the weekend! I was so terrified that it would hurt, I was shaking, my palms were sweating and I was freaking out. I sat still though while the piercer stuck a needle through my face, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt. The worst part is not knowing what it will feel like. You have to keep it in for a few weeks before you can change it. If you have any further questions, the piercer will answer any questions you have.

everybody asks that question does it hurt?
well some places do and some dont, i have about 19 piercings and some i didnt really feel others were quite unpleasant.
so back to your original question a lip piercing isnt that painful its just like a sting, like a needle at a doctors surgery.
just make sure you go to a good place, an actual body piercer NOT a beautician or hairdresser as these people claim to be qualified but they can seriously endanger your health as body piercing is very different to a standard ear piercing.

Depends on how you can tolerate pain. i have my lip pierced it kinda hurt but not much and it was only for not even a minute. they pierced my lip with a stud. so i didnt get a ring depends if want a ring or not. but ask first. i also have my tounge, nose, have had my eyebrow pierced and my belly button my nose hurt the most but my friend did it for me!!! and im a sook when it comes to pain lol!! good luck!!
