I doubt it and the courts will probably look down on her even more for asking.
If that woman stayed with her husband, she might treat that child better than the father does.
Bottom line is that the father has a right to make that child a part of his life and if his wife is a part of his life then so it shall be for his child.
This is of course unless the woman has demonstrated something tangible that the courts can rule on.
If not then your cousin will have to trust that her childs father is better at parenting then he is in relationships.
How sad for your cousin and the child

unless the chick has a crimminal history, or documented abuse in the past, the judge will do nothing, just cause her man cheated on her dosen't mean his wife will hurt his baby, but your cousin put herself in that position when she chose to mess around with a married man, she should have thought about that before she decided to do the damn thang with him. I sympathise more with the wife than i do your coulsin. what she did was whorish and bogus.

it's doubtful they could convince anyone that the guys wife would be hostile to the baby unless she had prior mental problems.

Your thoughts are far fetched, but hey it shows you care. She can probably squeeze a few dollars from him if she's lucky.
