If a public official was convicted a serious crime what exactly would we do with them?

Would a Director of the FBI be thrown in Federal Prison with all of the other federally convicted prisoners?

Where would a President be put?

Do we have a system for this?

If you mean by a serious crime something like starting a bogus war, then I would say they put him in the White House.

Yea there are facilities for high profile people. Not much of a prison more like a health club with guards.
