I was "ordered" to attend custody mediation, the father was a no show. Will he receive a notice from the court for not showing up? BTW, this mediation was by HIS request.

My roommate was also a no show at mediation and he really got screwed the mother got everything she wanted and I mean Everything. The judge really doesn't like that at all..She gets the child for Mothers Day and they didn't even put fathers day in there. That was really his bad for not showing up.And if He is the one that wanted it that's even worse. But to answer your question no he will not get a notice .Also the judge will not want to hear Any of his reasons for not showing up as in most cases it's scheduled a mo. or so in advance.

It depends on your state/county.

Of course, the fact that he didn't bother to show up for his own requested mediation will reflect well in your light, poorly in his.

Depends on the state, If he requested it there had to be a good enough reason that you were ordered to attend. If your in the clear, then use it to your advantage.

yes the court will take notice, unless he has proof of a valid reason
