Virtual memory is when your computer uses hard-drive space as memory. To get more virtual memory go to 'Control Panel' - 'Performance and Maintenance' - 'System' - 'Advanced Tab' - 'Settings' (under the performance square) - 'Advanced Tab' - 'Change' (under the virtual memory square). A window will pop up in which you can choose a hard-drive and then set the amount of virtual memory your computer can use. Good luck!

Virtual memory is used when you don't have enough RAM for you computer to store the complete application in memory. It then stores part of the running program on your hard drive, and then accesses RAM and hard drive continuously as you run your app. Problem is that your hard drive is about 1000 times slower than RAM, so virtual memory sucks. Was this an older game?
