how do i retrieve old searches on google?

i am wondering, how can i see old searches that were typed in google? i didnt have a toolbar, until just now, so that wont help me? i am trying to see what my boyfriend searched for on google about 5 months ago?? and i cant find it out. but im sure theres a way? any help??

since its so old, the search history might have been deleted...but here is a way to check:
open up google and double click on the search bar...this should open a drop-down list of searches
this doesnt give a date, but i dont think thats possible
(to delete the searches, move your cursor over the selection you want to remove and hit the "delete" key)

if you are using internet explorer then do the following:
-there should be an icon called history, click on that.
-you find yourself looking at a list of sites that you have visited.
-it should be under the name google(obviously).

if the info isn't there then there is another long way to get at it:
-go to my computer.
-go to the local disk in which you have your documents and settings.
-go on your usere and then under "cookies".
-there should be, unless someone has deleted it, a list of the sites last visited.
