Ok. This is gonna sound weird...

Ive been trying to start smoking... I go out on cigarette brakes at work and smoke cigarettes, and i smoke one before school at the bus stop and after school and at work and everything but I don't have any dependency.
I don't feel relaxed at all... I don't feel any diferent... (well, i used to get light headed which was stupid, but not anymore) I don't feel any relaxation or anything.... sometimes it just gives me a hedache. WTF. why.
Why don't i get cravings??

Please oh please tell me this is a joke. Smokers feel "relaxed" when they have a cigarette only because we are desperate junkies who have gotten their drug fix - not because tobacco gives one a sense of well-being. I've been smoking for 15 years and wish so badly that I had never started. Between the expense, fine wrinkle lines starting around my mouth, the so sexy cough in the winter, and the feeling of being chained to somthing that may give me cancer or emphysema, I have no idea what ever posessed me to think it was the right decision to ever start to begin with. I wish so badly that I could go back and never have started. You will never find one person who doesn't regret it. If you're thinking of taking it up, you might as well start shooting heroin while you're at it - it's just as smart.

To be honest with you, you do not want to start smoking!! You sound young if you going to a bus stop and after school. I started when i was 14, I just quit three months ago and I am 20 now.
At first I did not think i was addicted, however if you have been smoking on a regular basis like you say, then try not having a cigarette for one whole day, I am sure at some point you will start to think about how amazing it feels to have the smoke roll down your throat, or you may start to smell cigarettes, and even crave the social acceptance into the crowd of smokers.
These are the signs of addiction.
I will tell you I am so greatfull to hang quit, it is not an easy thing to do, and I did so b/c I wanted to but I can finally go for a walk again or get walk up the three flights of stairs to my Apt. without getting winded. and I am only 150LBS. so i am not fat or anything.
I hope you realize that you should quit now, but if you must smoke, just try one day without and by the end of that day if you don't have a craving for one then you must not be smoking enough a day, try a pack a day for about 1 month, and make sure you inhale, sounds like you have since you have gotten lightheaded.

I started smoking at the age of 14,a few here and there. It was peer pressure, and to be with the "in" crowd. I also justified it because my both my parents smoked, and also my step father smoked and figured it was ok. The health concerns back in the early 70's were not as prevalent as they are today. I didn't start really smoking until I started working at the age of 16 or 17,and when I went into the military is when I started the 1 pack a day habit, almost 30 years now. I smoke more when there is more stress in my life,I have tried to quit a couple times, but it didn't last long. Smoking for me is a stress reliever.

Over time you should start to develop cravings. Its not an instant thing and depends on how much you smoke.

I'd say keep increasing the amount you smoke until dependency sets in.

Good Luck

Smoking question #3! Smoke regularly, expect nothing except the head aches and dizziness until you've smoked for a while. You still going to quit with your friend?

Don't start. Who cares why you don't get cravings. Be happy you don't. I'll tell you what, whenever you wanna smoke, let me know and I'll come punch you in the chest. It's less expensive and accomplishes the same thing.

If you really want to smoke, try lighting your hair on fire. The arm pits are a particularly good place to start. You will love the aroma. Or if you like that tingly sensation, drop your pants and light your pubs. Just don't do it public, you could get arrested.
