Affirmative action has no expiration date to anyone except Sandra Day O'Connor. She said it should expire in 20 years when she wrote the opinions in two University of Michigan opinions in 2003. However, noone really feels bound by her idea. Michigan just passed a referendum to stop it immediately by popular vote. I personally am not a fan of it, but to each their own.

No plans. It is too bad because it hurts most the people it was intended to help.
Every time you see a minority or woman in a position of power these days there is always a question mark over their achievements- did they deserve it or did they get there because of this?
It should be abolished ASAP- and minorities and women should be leading the charge.

you are getting confused between affirmative action and a 50 cent off coupon for Rice a Roni. I know I get those two mixed up all the time.

As long as cases of majority ("classical" pro-white affirmative action) can be proven in the courts, it shouldn't end.
Remember, you guys started it first and have never really stopped.
So you stop first! Us minorities will follow.

i hope it wil expire. I have heard many stories (some of the people i know) got turned down jobs, schools, and other stuff because they were the wrong color. The problem is the people who got turned down had way more experience, schooling, and training then the people who got the job, school, other stuff.

I certainly hope not. Affirmative action doesn't end racism...it encourages it.

Whenever it was supposed to end is irrelevant. The new majority will keep it going as long as they can.
