maybe you sleep too late and you have a lot on your mind...maybe you spend too much time online.
try getting up real early...like 6 a.m. or earlier...go for a walk, keep busy all day long (no power nap) and you'll be out like a light by 10 p.m.
good luck! :)

First thing I had to do was totally cut out caffeine in the afternoon, including soda. Set yourself a regular bedtime and wake up time, work on it this take a while to get in to the habit. Have some herbal tea before bed. Tension Tamer and Sleepy Time by Celestial Seasoning are good or Chamomile. You could also get some melatonin, it's a natural supplement, that will definitely help you sleep with no drowsiness in the morning.

Try this: Start going to bed about a 1/2 hour earlier than you usually do EVERY NIGHT- & stick to it for a month. If you're STILL not getting enough sleep, then go to bed a half hour earlier than THAT- the next month. -In other words, keep on adding a half hour to your sleep sceduale, until to start finding yourself waking up earlier than you usually do. Usually waking up "on your own" -is a good sign that you're getting enough rest. And there's NOTHING that beats a good night's sleep! Sweet dreams! :)

Just a thought, but have you asked the dr? I do find that valerian root is calming and melatonin helps you sleep. I work odd hours and sometimes these help. Or, try camomile tea. There are some very tasty herbal teas in the grocery store, lipton has some and also sleepytime tea. Hope it helps. :)

There are some great herbal supplements that will help you. Check out the drugstore. Not over the counter stuff like NyQuil, but the herbal section. They are much more gentle.
