It's for the first game, and I'm NOT talking about "Simple and Clean". The song for the commercial seemed more dance/electronic like, this was in the Fall of 2002 if I remember correctly.

it could've been either the PLANITb remix version of hikari or simple and clean. that's all i can say.

I'm not sure. You're positive it wasn't the fast version of "Simple and Clean?" Did it have lyrics? Because they might have just been playing some of the in-game music, depending on the commercial...
