CALL THE GAS COMPANY . I THINK THEY PROVIDE A FREE SERVICE TO DISCONNECT.

There should be a shut off valve near where the dryer was hooked up.

Shut off valve & disconnect gas line. Then cap off or put a plug in the gas valve, seal it first.

If no shut off by the dryer follow gas line until you get to a valve.
Shut that off & then cap the line.

Make sure that you light the pilots if there were any turned off.

I'm not sure, but I'm glad I ran across your question, because I'm house hunting and a house I'm looking at has a gas dryer in it. I have never seen a gas dryer before, shocked the heck out of me.Suprisingly it heated up really well. Not sure if I want to keep it though, I'm use to electric.
