Why do you even have one if you would not use it on a person or animal. These are not used for target practice or skeet shooting. You may want to rethink this one!

HAH at "tail-hook" it was tested repeatedly with no death or harm.
A guy would take his shirt off and take the shot, if he fell he got a black t-shirt, if he remained standing he got to ZAP the guy that zapped him. First to do the "TUNA" lost.
A friend was a cop and called to a "disturbance"; the guy was 6'5" and about 240 throwing refridgerators around; wacked to the gills on angel dust.
They zapped him THREE times before they could contain him. Tyey were taking him down the stairs when he had a fit so they just let go and zapped him again at the bottom. My friend said, "Now have you had enough "MF"?
It took a year but the PD booted him and he now runs a store in the Mid-West.
The guy had two felony warrants (car jack and sexual). Maybe they just should have shot him and been done with his sorry A**.
Here is another story (Yahoo News) A deer was hung up in the ropes in a swing set and TRAPPED for a slow and UGLY death. They were ready to just do the "DEED" with a bullet to the head when they thought about tazering him. The darts hit, the deer went down, they rushed in and untangled him and backed off quickly. The deer got up and ran off into the woods, "Happy as a clam".
Uppers cause HEART, circulation and respritory PROBLEMS. They also increase pain tolerance and strength so they are not good candidates to get zapped.
So, if you are going to do the SH**, don't cause a problem that involves the police; they can either zap you and take their chances or just shoot you. What would you pick?

If you have acquired a stun gun legally you must be a policeman or in the law enforcement. The gun attacks the nervous system so a living thing is the only thing you can test it on. I wouldn't do it to an animal or a person, you could go to jail for that. Police officers test theirs on each other.

If you decide to use it on yourself, then make sure that when you fall down that you turn lose of the stun gun.
Stun guns use VERY high voltage, but VERY low current, but I am sure that the effects are quite strong. Some of them will also leave a tiny scar.
You could put it across a metal object in the dark and watch for the electrical arc. You might be able to see the arc in daylight, but surely you would see one in a dark room or at night. It will be very brief.

i've tested stun gun on myself. I bought one for my younger sister, because she works overtime and has to go home late at night. My arm clenched up, twitched and got 2 burn marks where the contacts were.
if you're squeamish, test it on a grounded metal surface. How far it can arc is a good indication of the voltage.

Find someone who is used to it. I have stunned 2 people with mine, but they let me do it and it wasn't so bad.
