All the reasons. These countries are not near the oceans, there are not many rivers (mostly sandy areas with little water). Also the Muslim Arabs are conservative, the woman would not use bikini and men will not show their bare bodies Probably that explains.

Probably, because there are hardly any friggin' fresh water lakes or rivers there. It is mostly desert and mountains. They obviously are afraid to swim in salt water, because they had to depend on Charlton Heston or Moses to raise the "Red Sea".

umm geographical they live in the desert. The only water they see is mirages and one knows you cant swim in them
