Could attacking government computer systems be okay under the First Amendent?

I used the word attacking for lack of better word of variosu things that coudl be considered cybercrime. Not in an entirely destructive manner.

It is neither condoned nor prohibited under the First Amendment. It's a long shot to lump it into a "petition" to redress grievances IMHO.

I don't think that is a good idea. No matter how you interpret your Constitutional rights, the interpretation of the cops and courts is what counts. Unfortunately, the Constitution means only what they say it means at the time.

Most jurisdictions take a dim view of this behavior, and quite a few people have found out the hard way.

Strictly speaking, if you are ATTACKING the U.S. computers, that would be a criminal offence as you are attempting to cause damages to an entity.

How does the 1st amendment fit into this anyway?
