and then watch HOURS and HOURS of CNN, The Daily Show with John Stewart, and The Colbert Report?

Bush-deathgrip...many liberals clamor to everything that those comedians say. I don't, I know that they're comedians, but there's a bunch of folks who don't, and those are the ones putting down Fox News.

Because Fox News presents a counterpoint to the points being made on all the other nets/programs that libs can't take. It's refreshing to hear another POV other than lame, one-sided liberal rhetoric all the time.

I have no respect for fox news and I put them down because they are most full of ****. Watching fox news will make you hate politics real fast, with their shallow stands on various complicated issues and even shallower debates. You learn nothing from watching their programs except that most politicians are selfish and disgusting. You dont have to watch for long to see that most politicians number one concern is gaining or maintaining power, not doing what best for the people they supposedly represent. How can fox news's motto be " fair and balanced " when they are so obviously biased?CNN and some of the other news shows can be annoying as well. At least the daily Show is funny.

The problem with Fox news is that they claim to be fair and balanced but they are not. I watch them, but I also, have the web sites to BBC, CNN, MSNBC, Al Jazeera, Daily News, Post News, and The Guardian. I try to get views from all over the world and in the end, I think I cut through the crap and get the real story. Nothing wrong with being exposed to the more right leaning news, just that I want to be exposed to everything and in the end I can form my own opinion. The daily show and colbert report is just for fun. If you can't laugh at your own politicians, what can you laugh at?

The only thing I watch with any regularity is CSpan. I like my political news unspun. For world news, I rely on BBC. The Daily show is info-tainment, like Fox News spun in the other direction with jokes thrown in. There are few, if any, network news reporters. All that is left is talking heads and pundits.
I don't care about "fair and balanced". I'm more interested in accuracy. I'll gladly put down Disney/ABC and Time Warner/AOL/CNN, too. None report "news" without spinning it to benefit their corporate ownership.

The Faux (nothing) channel as Keith Olberman refers to it as, does nothing more than to serve as a daily pep rally for the GOP. It's sensational journalism in it's poorest form. It's no better than the National Enquirer or Star Magazine with thier "anchors" behaving like really bad actors with thier "news" delivery. At least the Daily Show provides entertainment as does the Colbert Report.

How about - because it's a propaganda machine for the Bush White House and the Republicans? They couldn't even give a "fair and balanced" weather report.

It's a sickness.
And by the way, I have a theory on why most say that Fox is slanted to the right.
Ok Just imagine your self physically leaning to the left for decades. If finally after decades of seeing everything with a leftward slant, when you actually stand up straight, everything would appear to lean towards the right. Correct?

I get tired of the unabashed conservatism. But at least Fox admits its bias. The others, of course, aren't leftist, they're just infallable, like the Pope speaking ex cathedra. They all produce nausea.

They only want to watch the news that reaffirms their beliefs and those that are contrary to their beliefs are a threat so they have to discount the truth of Fox News.

Fox News is a creation of the far right. That's why. As another poster said, they operate on the principle that if you propagate a lie long enough, and push it as truth, people will believe it; especially if they are sheep and cannot think for themselves.
