GOod q! Umm...maybe teflon are actually little aliens and the feet aren't that sticky, so they glue them to the pan, but the alien heads are really slick so thats the teflon part. k?

There are little pits in the pan so the teflon fills the pits first and then coats the pan so it is held on there pretty good.

Hot welded metal alloys stick to it...thus the way it is secured to the pan.
