..and 90% of the interview offers I get are health insurance sales positions offers. I know absolutely nothing about selling insurance and don't want to so why are the only people emailing me insurance contractors? And my resume says nothing about that field at all. What gives??

Delete your resume and resubmit it to Monster.com Somehow your resume is picking up a key word that is sending it to the wrong heading for the employer to search.

It's because they are offering a general sales kind of position. Unfortunately these are probably positions that may or may not come with a regular income (outside of commission). In other words, if you don't sell, then the company doesn't lose any money in pay.

Your resume may be sending off the wrong vibe - it doesn't have to say anything at all about health insurance.

Try putting up another resume that focuses more on the aspects of the type of career you'd like to get into.
