What does it mean to be a member of the British Commonwealth ??

ARe there political responsibilities .... social responsibilities ? Do citizens of each commonwealth feel a brotherhood or tie with the citizens of other commonwealth nations ??

It simply means that your country was once part of the British Empire and has chosen to retain close political and economic ties with Great Britain.

On an individual level, it doesn't mean much at all (especially now that there's an EU).
