Should there be "Planning" class in 10th Class in India? Why Explain your answer.

Planning Class is for planning for future, that what to do? how to do? when to do?
I am here in Canada and I attend Planning class and I think it should be compulsory for students in India in 10th class. It tells you about who you are? your values, skills and all the personal stuff for identifying yourself. It also tells you how to be safe at workplace. It tells you about your legal rights as a worker, as a citizen and as yourself. You do research on job which you would like to join in. It's like 4 pages. It also tells you about making sexual decisions when you are adult or young. This also tells you about educational decisions to go in which colleges and universities. This course touches every part of your life. It tells you a lot of information and this course is fun. I would reccomend that there should be "Planning" in 10th Class.

Ms. broncosnumber30 I respect your opinion but I want to remind you that it's an effort to prevent child from going into wrong things and planning for a safe future. I am sorry but I think you dont want a safe and secured future. Oh!! By the way if you had been in this course then you must have been seen the "Depression" Video. You must get a lesson from it and by the way try to tell truth behind the course not make fun of it. I think you better understood.

As you have demanded for more details, I would tell you.

In this Planning Class we do a collage first at the starting of year which shows your lifestyle now on one side and on the other side shows you after 40 years. Everyone do it by himself or herself. Now it shows that is the person is really attracted to family after forty years or he wanna live alone. Then we do goal-setting things. Everyone sets a goal about marks that he/she would achieve after completing this course. Teacher tells you how to set goals in your life and succeed in them. Then we do values test, it finds out do you wanna be rich or wanna be a helper to help out. Then we do personality test, in which you find out that what kind of personality do you have. We do Holland Code tests too, to find out who we are?

After this we start finding jobs. We visited the site www.careercruising.com and take career matchmaker which almost finds the best job in which you are interested. Then we do research on that job and find out that which schools are available for us for our favorite job. Then we also learned writing job letters and making resume(which shows who you are, what are your skills and all other stuff.) W also learned how to go o interview and answer the questions and we did it practically too in our class where we were being interviewed by our teacher.

After this we start about Education. We plan for what can be possible subjects we are gonna take in next classes so that we have job related to that. Then we visit local websites and find out schools. We also learned about scholarships.

After that we learned about workplace safety. We learned about our rights as employee and employers. We learned about top 7 hazards at workplace. We learned to recognize workplace hazards. We learned about diseases which we can have at workplace.

After this we go to Finances. We learned how to write a Cheque, how to prepare a budget and be on it. We learned about how to open chequing and savings account and learned a lot of definitions used in bank. We learned about pros and cons of Credit Cards. We also learned to build credit history. We learned a lot more things in Finances.

Then now the last thing, Personal health Care section. We learned about how to communicate with the best proper way.We learned about some behavoiour stuff. W learned about how to control your anger. We also learned about self-esteem. We also learned about making sexual decisions like we attended one day lectures on HIV/AIDS, Straight people, (Gay, Bisexual and transgendered) people. Emotional, physical and sex assaults and lot more………

I think it's great. It will help develop our society and can make our country a progressive country. Because it's "Planning" there's all the stuff to plan for future in it and if we go through this course I am hundered % sure that it's gonna make kids better, then they are now and because now a days lot of people are not getting employed and I think if they will plan first for future then they can make the better decisions than they had ever made.

I would reccomend that this course should be made compulsory through 9th class - 12th class and should be taken up by government.

It's not a good situation. If the parents of the students question why an adult, who is an authority figure, hangs out with teenagers what could he say? He should be going to the movies with his wife. Also, if he does hang out with his students and is ever accused of inappropriate conduct (whether ir's true or not) he will have a difficult time denying it. Teachers are not in the classroom to be friends with their students. Also, how does he know that any advice he gives is the correct advice? Unless he is a trained psychologist he is not qualified to counsel students with their personal problems. For his sake, the sake of his career and the sake of your marriage he needs to modify his behavior. Also, if you have not done so, you need to speak with your husband regarding your concerns. His heart may be pure and he may feel that he is accomplishing something positive;but, as i said, the situation is not good.

yeah there definitely should i mean i cant say it unless i have a support from and inidan student or teacher coz im here in australia and we have similar classes where we get to go out and od our work experience in the places we wud luv to work.........and its fun coz u get ur first salary as a proffesional of what ure gonna do plus if u have attended it and u think u havent liked it all that much u can start chooing a different career aim for life...

i think its stupid. i was in something like that but it was for something totally different.(it was the class but for other reasons) see i was in the learning disability class for it. what i got from that class was u can plan for what u want to do but u don't know if Ur going to get it u don't know what is going to happened tomorrow u don't even know what is going to happen in a min. you cant teach a student what there life is going to be like u cant. i wanted my life totally different then what I'm doing. parents and teachers got to stop doing this telling kids that they can plan life YOU CANT. it ant a fun class. i don't recommend a planning class in 10 grade. if anything do what we had a collage visits. and u could tack a day off to go to a job to do some job shadowing.
the sexual decisions I'm sry ether Ur going to do it or Ur not going to do it. u can show a person all that stuff but it ant going to stop it its like smoking and drugs.

but anyways I'm not for the planning class. i can keep going on about it but i ant. but ever person opine is different this is mine!♥
