Sure he has the right to. But a respectful and well mannered man would never hit back. Restrain the woman if she gets out of hand? Yes But never strike her.

I think small men hit back...they feel obviously intimidated and overpowered by a woman who has gone so far as to strike them....a bigger man could easily restrain her...
I don't think it's ok for a man to hit a woman ever...sadly, that's a thing of the past...now it's a bloody free for all....and I wonder, even if a girl just poked a guy in the abdomen with the end of a telephone, "prodding" him to put the baby down and stop yelling while he's holding her, NEVER gave him the right to then punch the woman full on in the face....after she had taken the baby and was walking away.....circumstances may be a bit out of the ordinary, but nevertheless, not okay to hit her, even though he says she "hit" him first.... so is a strike an open handed slap or a close fisted punch or simply a poke? I say it doesn't matter, just be a MAN and walk away....

I think it's wrong for a woman to hit a man and I think it's more wrong for a guy to hit her back. Just because a woman hits you doesn't make it right for you to do it back. I know that getting hit is not a favorite thing and that your first instinct is to hit back but it's still wrong. You don't need to be with a woman who hits. Women who hit have some serious issues going on.

I don't think so. Being female, I know there have been times I have hit, (sort of) but a REAL man just restrains the woman/the attack and simply tries to holds her to calm her down. If he can do that, she will relax and feel really badly of herself for acting that way. It's a way that a woman (and sometimes a man) is just begging for attention or trying to make a point to someone who won't listen.
Hope this helps.

i don't see what's wrong with a guy hitting a girl even if she doesn't hit him first. women/girls can defend themselves. i know it's not right if the guy were 2 hit her for no reason but if something were 2 happen that he would i don't think there would be anything wrong with it. and 2 answer your question yes the woman/girl should be willing 2 get hit back if she were 2 hit a guy.

There is a sacred bond that says a man cannot hit a woman. However, once she strikes him...it's on. She is giving up her immunity to striking. If she just smacked me for effect I might just slap her in the head. If she was trying to hurt me I would take her down ultimate fighting style.

I believe a real man wound never hit a woman unless it was to keep from being seriously injured(like losing a eye, kicked in the groin) But no one male or female has the right to hit another. If simple words can bring you to strike another, then you need to check yourself.

I've heard that before, and I've been in abusive situations before also, and I think its wrong for either or to hit in the first place. I think most of the time, women are not as strong as the man, but there are some really strong women out there, and it's not o.k, for either to hit. I have two boys, and I'm teaching them that they are not allowed to hit anyone .. ESPECIALLY not women.

Anyone who hits another person should expect to be hit in return. Everyone has the right of self-defense. If women truly want to be equal to men, then they must expect equal treatment in every situation. The days of the "weak and helpless female" are all but over.

It is never acceptable for a man to hit a woman for any reason. If she is going to strike him for a second time, he has the right to restrain her without hurting or striking her.
