Trashy, if you have pretty face don't ruin it. Once you grown older and don't want it anymore, people can still see scar.

Fashions come and go, but unfortuanatley scars dont.
What may look cool and funky today, wont in a few years when the trend is out.
.
My opinion is a nice fresh faced well groomed person will always last longer and project a better image than peircings and tatoos and fashion trends.
you must also think of your employment potential you may have or want a good career and scars never look good, unfortunatley people do get judged on their appearance.
I speak from experience, i may sound like an old lady but i am only 23, i had peircings in my nose and lip and tattoos on my arm when i was 16, now that phase in my life is over, i have a corporate career and try to be as well groomed as possible, now i have to cover scars on my face from piercings with makeup and i am paying an unbeleivable amount to get rid of my tattoos (with no guarantees of it not scaring).
my personal experience is that it does look trashy, and when the fun is over, you are left trying to cover up unsightly marks and scars.
Good Luck.

That won't look trashy! My mom has a belly button piercing, her friend has a nose piercing, and LOT'S of people have there lip pierced. Personally, that would look really cute to me. I don't think you have to worry about the scar thing. You will have to clean it, but that's it. Don't really worry too much about scarring.

It might look sexy right now but when you take it out there will be a scar which might not look so sexy... It will look trashy to most adults/older people [30+] though so if you're looking for a job it might not be a good idea.
Your best bet is to not pierce. At least not there.

Depends upon how old you are. I think it is ok for a teenager, but might be looked down upon in a professional atmosphere. When I was younger I had my labret pierced. I have since removed the piercing and there is no visible scar. I put vitamin e on it.

depends. it doesn't go over in the cooperate world because it makes you look risky, rebellious, unable to resist peer pressure, and basically unstable.
as a friend I'd say it was cute but as an employer I'd really think twice about your stability and ability to make rational business decisions. i know it is harsh but first appearance count for 2/3rds of a job interview otherwise we'd hire off the resume alone.
here is another thing to consider.... a girl 18 in crawfordsville indiana went to a piercing parlor to get a nipple pierced. it became very infected due to improper piercing and she has now had to have her chest removed and has undergone 4 surgeries so far.... this was done in late 2006... look it up.

I have personally gotten a nose piercing and an eyebrow piercing..a scar developing generally depends on how long you have the piercing for and if the piercing gets infected. I would suggest getting a fake lip ring and seeing how it looks on you to decide how you personally feel about it. :)

I would say more than likely it would leave a big scar. I would not pierce my lip, it would ruin your cute face.

that's about as trashy as a dude getting his butt cheeks pierced together and held together by a ring and why mess up a hot face? for a look that might last what a week?
